It’s not uncommon to find your home has several problems. Many times these problems are not noticed until years after purchase. But, everyone deals with these problems and this article will cover a few.
One of the main problems that often happens is that a person finds in the summer months an invasion of ants in the home. Ants can be somewhat troublesome because they tend to find their way into cupboards, cereal boxes and unything that contains food that can be penetrated.
One top way to prevent ants in the home is to make sure you are thoroughly cleaning up after dinner. Make sure any food that falls onto the floor is cleaned up to help prevent ants coming in. Another easy thing you can do is to mop the floor at least once per week. Of course if ants do begin coming into the home and you cannot get rid of them it may be important to contact and exterminator.
Another issue is fleas. Fleas usually come in on outdoor pets. However, they can also come in through open windows, including screen doors and screened in porches. If fleas begin coming it you may need to spray for fleas to prevent them from further spreading and laying eggs in the home.
One way to prevent fleas is the most obvious. If you have outdoor pets consider letting them stay in doors more and outdoors less. If that isn’t an option then consider shampooing your pets for fleas at least once per month in the summer months.
